ĀKINA FOUNDATION

In 2020, Capability Builders NZ created a partnership with the Ākina Foundation to improve access to capability building services in the Te Tai Tokerau region.

With the support of Foundation North, Ākina and Capability Builders NZ support entrepreneurs and purpose-led organisations to thrive at all stages of their venture.

Our flagship Te Kōrau programme is a business development programme to support the ideas of entrepreneurs into a sustainable business venture. Capability building, delivered in partnership with Ākina, is the wrap-around support, such as one-on-one coaching, that entrepreneurs need post-programme or for ventures that are seeking tailored business development support.
Our connection with Ākina also provides a pathway to impact investment opportunities, including the Impact Investment Readiness Programme, or social procurement with the opportunity for businesses to become impact-certified and contract-ready for large business or government contracts.
